GEWR 2015: Brunch Appreciation @ The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore

Hey people!

Just wanted to do a quick post on last Saturday's brunch appreciation for the ladies in the #RuntoLiveGreat Programme at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore.

This is my 2nd year in the #RuntoLiveGreat programme as well as my 2nd year running for the Great Eastern Women's Run (GEWR) and it has been an amazing journey.

I'm thankful to be involved in this programme because it was the door that led me to develop an interest in running and to reinforce my pursuit for fitness.

Granted, some may join this programme because of the freebies (it's hard to resist a spanking new pair of sport shoes); some may join to lose weight and look good but above all, we join because we are motivated to exercise and are keen to step into the fitness world.

Along the way, I've met many ladies, young and old who inspire me with their fitness regimes and I realize that when you make an effort to take of your body and health, it is indeed very empowering.

We had a sumptuous buffet courteousy of The Ritz-Carlton to treat us for our hard work and effort in the programme.

My only plate from the buffet table simply because I hardly take second helpings unless the second helping is fruits.

We were asked to write a note of encouragement to the next batch of #RuntoLiveGreat participants so this was mine.

Perseverance is key and when you make the slightest bit of improvement in your fitness life, reward yourself. Don't ever think that you are lousier than the rest because it is more important to compare with yourself than others.

Joining the board of encouraging notes to motivate the next batch of participants.

Our little token of appreciation from Great Eastern - this limited edition SG50 ez-link card.

This entry marks the closing of the #RuntoLiveGreat programme and my GEWR 2015 journey. It has been a great one and if my readers were to embark on this programme next time, I sincerely hope that they will enjoy it as much as I did.

Thank you Great Eastern and SPRG for having me in this fulfilling programme once again. :)
