Hey people!

Dark eye circles are a bane of my life and they look worse during the days when I am exceptionally tired. Then again, I probably have myself to blame since I spend so much time on the computer and I sleep late. Opps! :S

Since last year, I've started using steaming eye masks whenever I need to catch some shut eye for 15 to 20 minutes. While they were useful in soothing tired eyes, they do not beat getting an actual eye treatment!

Few beauty places offer eye treatments as much as they offer facials and body massages, but I'm glad that Bejeweled offers multiple beauty services, one of which are eye treatments. In fact, they have 3 types of eye treatments, namely Refreshing Eye Treatment, Revitalizing Sonic Eye Treatment and Ultralift Eye Treatment.

I tried the Ultralift Eye Treatment ($168), a 40 minute pampering treatment for the eyes to replenish elasticity, combat fine lines and most importantly, reduce tiredness and dark circles.

The treatment started with facial cleansing. I almost forgot that my face would be cleansed so thank goodness I didn't turn up with a face full of makeup.

Next up, the skin at my undereye area was exfoliated using this white tool. It looked scary like some sort of a knife blade but it was actually very gentle. In fact, the metallic part of the tool was blunt and it was designed to exfoliate the undereye area as thoroughly as possible without tugging against the delicate skin of the eyes. You will probably feel a slight tingly sensation during the exfoliation but nothing too scary to freak out about. :)

The most significant part of the treatment involved this metallic probe which makes use of deep heating technology to stimulate collagen in the skin.

A contact gel will be applied around the eyes first in order to facilitate this procedure.

Be sure to close your eyes because there would be light and you wouldn't want to look directly into it. There should also be a mildly warm sensation when the eye contour was massaged gently by the probe. If it gets too warm, please tell the beautician!

Overall, it should be a very comfortable and relaxing process so if you fall asleep, by all means. :)

Thereafter, a cooling mask will be applied around your eye area for approximately 10 minutes followed by a soothing eye massage.

Then came another interesting part where I got to wear a hot clay mask and it was indeed, for lack of a better word, HOT.

This was also the moment when I spoke up and asked the beautician whether I would be leaving the centre with a red patch across my eyes from the heat. She laughed and assured me that it wouldn't happen. True enough, I got used to the heat and the heat also dissipated gradually over time.

The hot mask was on my eyes for a good 10 minutes and at the same time, I was treated to an enjoyable scalp massage.

The last product applied around my eyes was eye serum and I ended off the session with some face cream as well as some sunscreen.

The above picture shows all the products that were used on my skin during the 40 minutes of treatment. How extensive!

I was so pleased that my undereye and facial skin became brighter and more radiant after the treatment. Additionally, the dark cast underneath my eyes was no longer so prominent and it made me look less tired and stressed.

I noticed that I had some leftover clay mask on my eyebrow but heck it, my windows to my soul are significantly more lively now.

Thank you Bejeweled for taking care of my eyes. Let's just hope I can maintain their condition. :)
